Tragic accident that occurred on March 17th in Chicago, Illinois. 70-year-old Miriam Grande was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident on Grand and Austin avenues. A witness described the driver driving away as Ms. Grande's body lay in front of Playas Nayaritas Mexican restaurant. Ms. Grande, who immigrated from El Salvador in the 1980s, was a half mile from home after attending church. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
