74-Year-Old Michael Campbell Killed In Longview, TX AccidentThe crash remains under investigation Posted: 3 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on January 3rd in Longview, Texas. 74-year-old Michael Wayne Campbell was tragically killed in a motorcycle wreck on U.S Highway 259. An initial accident report from DPS indicated that Mr. Campbell was operating his motorcycle south while 77-year-old James Melvin Laney was traveling eastbound. While attempting to cross the highway after coming to a stop at the marked intersection, Laney did not see the motorcycle and pulled into its path. Campbell's bike subsequently collided with Laney's vehicle. Campbell was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
