A 2005 Ford was turning left when the driver failed to yield to a 2015 Jeep occupied by the victim. As a result, the Jeep collided with the Ford, causing the Jeep to overturn. The Kissicks were life-flighted to Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, for treatment, Highway Patrol said. Both were receiving treatment for serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
