Tragic accident that occurred on April 16th in Griffith Park, California.  Andrew Jelmert was tragically killed when he was struck by a hit and run vehicle while participating in “SoCal Day on the Ride” organized by AIDS/LifeCycle. Andrew Jelmert was cycling in Griffith Park when he was struck and sadly killed. AIDS/LifeCycle wrote on their Facebook page: “We are heartbroken to share the news that a cyclist participating in AIDS/LifeCycle’s SoCal Day on the Ride lost their life after being struck by a vehicle yesterday.” Officials arrested the suspect driver, who was booked into custody.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
