Pedestrian killed on Abernathy Williams Road

Tragic accident that occurred on February 17 in Maiden, North Carolina. Becky Gibson was involved in a tragic vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that claimed the life of a 2-year-old boy in the area of Abernathy Williams roads. The boy was airlifted to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte where he succumbed to injuries. Additional information on how the crash occurred was not immediately available, although authorities said that no charges were pending. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
