Brandy Houghtalling was killed in a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 75. A 2008 Cadillac SRX was traveling northbound when the driver lost control and crashed, causing the vehicle to become disabled when a 2014 Ford Fusion then slammed into it. Another vehicle — a 2010 Toyota Camry — then struck the Ford. Brandy Houghtalling, the Ford driver, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. While the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, officers said alcohol was suspected as a contributing factor.
