Charles William Egan sadly died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver at Fourth Street and Chester Avenue. The driver fled the scene after the collision but was later apprehended by authorities. Egan was rushed to Kern Medical Center, where he died a day later. The driver was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury and driving without a license.
