Christopher Johnson died after being hit by a Cadillac while helping replace an awning outside Rediscover Antiques and Collectibles on South Broadway Street. Deondre Robinson and Patrick Aten have been charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and second-degree assault. Robinson was also charged with driving a vehicle without a license. Police say Robinson and Aten were racing each other at a high rate of speed, lost control, spun and hit Johnson. Johnson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
