Douglas Steward was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash along Interstate 70 when a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was following too closely and ollided with the rear of a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer. The pickup then slid off the roadway to the right and down an embankment, before re-entering the roadway on West Florissant Road. There it collided with the front left of a 2017 Chevrolet Impala sedan. The Impala subsequently traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert. The Impala driver, 35-year-old Douglas M. Steward of St. Louis, suffered serious injuries. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victims.
