Helen Koons Killed In Paramus, NJ Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on March 16 in Paramus, New Jersey. Helen Koons died when she was in a crosswalk in the parking lot of the Paramus Public Library and was struck by a 2013 Toyota Corolla. Koons was dragged approximately 20 feet after impact and sustained serious injuries in the crash. She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where she sadly passed away. The 94-year-old woman driving the Toyota was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and careless driving. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
