Ilda Nieves Killed In George West, TX Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on December 30 in George West, Texas. Six people lost their lives following a head-on crash on US-59 when the driver of a Chrysler van attempted to go around a vehicle in a no-passing zone and crashed head-on with a Chevrolet Suburban. Shortly afterward, the Nissan driver then slammed into the Suburban from behind. Ilda Briones Nieves was declared dead at the scene. DPS troopers will be conducting a thorough investigation into the deadly accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
