Jacquelin York Killed In Catawba, North Carolina Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on September 27 in Catawba, North Carolina. Jacquelin York lost her life when the motorcycle she was a passenger on crashed along Kale Road near Hudson Chapel Road. A 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was headed north when it crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound Honda passenger vehicle. Both riders were ejected from the bike. Passenger Jacquelin Danielle York was airlifted to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem in critical condition. She later succumbed to injuries. Troopers suspected alcohol use to be a contributing factor in the crash. The driver was charged with driving while impaired and is likely facing additional charges. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
