Tragic accident that occurred on January 7 in Chicago, Illinois. Jason Kardish lost his life after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver along N. Ashland Avenue in the 2700 block of North Ashland Avenue. The driver fled from the scene without stopping. Kardish was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he passed away. Those with information are urged to contact CHP. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
