Jimmy Lee Hewitt was charged with manslaughter after a fatal pedestrian crash on Highway 155. A woman was using a flashlight to help a student cross the road when a pickup truck driver disregarded the school bus safety lights and hit the woman. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Jimmy Lee Hewitt, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He was booked into the Upshur County Jail.
