John Escontrias was killed in a motor vehicle collision involving a suspected drunk driver in the 4900 block of East 42nd Street.A Dodge Charger was speeding westbound when the driver lost control and slammed into a blue 2017 Chevrolet Malibu. John, a passenger in the Dodge, was transported to Medical Center Hospital and later died. The driver of the Dodge was arrested for two counts of intoxication manslaughter. Authorities are investigating the deadly wreck.
