John Ortiz Killed In Coleman, TX Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on September 24 in Coleman, Texas. John Ortiz was one of two motorcyclists killed in a collision with a pickup truck along the U.S. Highway 84. A 72-year-old woman was northbound in a 2017 Nissan Frontier pickup truck when her vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a 2016 and a 2004 Harley-Davidson. Both motorcycle drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. DPS continues to investigate the crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
