Makiyah De Sumner Injured In Athens Clarke, GA Accident

Crash along South Milledge Avenue

Tragic accident that occurred on July 14 in Athens Clarke, Georgia. Makiyah De Sumner was seriously injured when the vehicle she was a passenger in crashed along South Milledge Avenue. The driver, a 19-year-old Covington man, admitted to drinking a single beer, but later said he had four, police said.  He was arrested and booked into Athens-Clarke County Jail. Details of the accident were not immediately available. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
