Marissa Burke Killed In Deer Park, TX Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on November 14 in Deer Park, Texas. Marissa Burke died days after she was struck by an alleged impaired motorist on Georgia Avenue while walking home from school with her sister. Burke was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries days later. The 55-year-old man driving the pickup, who had previously been arrested for multiple DUIs, was determined to be impaired at the time of the crash and arrested. He was charged with intoxication assault with additional charges possible. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
