Randall Crawford was one of four people who died when two small aircraft collided over Lake Hartridge. The crash involved a Piper J-3 Cub seaplane, operated by Jack Brown’s Seaplane Base, and a Cherokee Piper 161 fixed-wing plane operated by Sunrise Aviation. One of the victims was identified after the crash as Randall. The crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. A separate investigation is being conducted by the sheriff's office.
