Robert Thomas was charged with driving while intoxicated after backing into a fellow employee on the 600 block of Orchard Street. He is accused of backing a Schenectady garbage truck into a worker loading trash, pinning him between the vehicle and a pole. The injured worker, whose identity hasn't been released, was transported to Albany Medical Center and has undergone surgeries.
