Roger McMurray Killed In Raleigh, NC Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on December 17 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Roger McMurray was one of two men who were killed after they stopped along Interstate 87 to help a stranded motorist. A black Cadillac SUV went off the right side of the road and crashed into a ditch. Two people stopped at the scene to try to assist. As the men stood at the side of the roadway, they were struck by a 2001 Ford pickup truck. Troopers said the pickup driver, a 46-year-old Wendell man, was speeding. He was charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle and exceeding a safe speed. The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
