Vito Johnson Injured In Jacksonville, FL Accident

Hit and run driver being pursued by police

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, February 4th in Jacksonville, Florida.  Vito Johnson is fighting for his life after being struck by a hit-and-run driver speeding near the intersection of Phelps and Troyan Streets. The boy was struck one day before his 12th birthday. The driver that struck him fled the scene after the collision. Johnson was rushed to UF Health Jacksonville and is in a medically-induced coma with a fractured skull and spine. Police are actively pursuing the hit-and-run driver. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim and his family.
