William Sweet Injured In Athens, GA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on February 2 in Athens, Georgia. William G. Sweet was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver  while crossing West Broad Street in the crosswalk near North Hull Street. Medics responded to the scene and transported Sweet to a local hospital with a serious leg injury, according to the report. Police said the Honda driver fled the location after the crash. The suspect was later caught and booked into jail on numerous charges, including hit-and-run with a serious injury. The incident remains under investigation.
